April 4, 1968

Civil rights icon Dr. Martin Luther King was killed 41 years ago tomorrow. Life magazine took pictures at the scene of the crime at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, TN,  that were never published, but now the magazine shares the photos on www.life.com.

Interestingly, James Earl Ray, the man convicted of killing Dr. King, claimed his innocence until the day he died in prison in April 1998 at age 70.

Speak your peace.
